Marion’s Family

Family
Mike and Debbie Williamson are the proud parents of four outstanding children that they have raised in Reno, Nevada. Marion is the youngest at age 24 and a forth generation Nevadan. She has a brother Jason 27, brother Logan 29, and sister Jessica 31. The Williamson family has always been very active. Growing up the children were always involved in sports and outdoor activities including baseball, softball, football, basketball, soccer, skiing, Indian Princess and Guides, camping and fishing.

While Marion was in the hospital, this close knit family was by her side 24 hours a day. The family took turns staying with Marion at the hospital to ensure that she always had a family member by her side.

Mike worked at Stewart Title of Northern Nevada as a manager for 17 years. When Marion first came home from the hospital in June of 2007, Debbie would care for her day and night. Because Mike had gone back to work he could only be with Marion in the evenings. The other family members continued to help as much as they could aside from their own work schedules and obligations, however Debbie was always with Marion. This went on for 3 months and the better Marion got the more time it took to care for her because she became more and more active. In September of 2007 Debbie got extremely sick and was completely exhausted. Mike took time off work to take care of both Marion and Debbie. Debbie got better in about two weeks but they realized that caring for Marion was a full time job for two people. Marion was not sleeping much at night and she was very active all day long. They exhausted all efforts to get outside help and Mike had to leave Stewart Title and become a full-time caregiver. Over the next 17 months, the Williamsons went through all of their savings and have sold most everything that they have. They are totally committed to Marion and her recovery.

Marion is now strong enough and healthy enough to go to the next step, which is for her to get more intensive and more frequent therapy. This requires her to travel out of town to brain clinics. Her family needs funds to make this happen for Marion. Please help Marion fight to her next step of rehabilitation.
